Frequently asked questions

It is best to leverage your local DNR laws or game warden to confirm if electronic devices are legal in your state. Most states allow it and generally it will be legal in all states that allow other electronic hunting aides.

Yes:  The STRUTT’N 360 XDR comes with a full two (2) year Warranty, from date of purchase, against manufacturer’s defects. If you have an issue with your unit contact us for trouble shooting, and if needed we will have you ship your unit back to us for warranty.  NOTE: Taking apart the STRUTT’N 360 or the Transmitter will VOID the warranty.

We stand behind our products!

The internal components of the STRUTT’N 360 are very durable and we have a number of customers who are using the original version of the unit that is 10 years old.

If you have an issue outside of the 2 year warranty, please contact us for trouble shooting. In the rare cases where a repair is needed we will have you ship your unit back to us.  If the unit shows no signs of tampering or abuse, and the repair is simple, we will generally make the repair at little to no cost beyond the shipping.

The STRUTT’N remote with clear line of sight can reach 40+ yards.  However, we always recommend setting the STRUTT’N 360 no more than 20 yards away when gun hunting and closer when bow hunting.

The Strutt’n 360 works by mounting your decoy to the two piece stake.  Then all you have to do is turn it on and push a button on the remote to turn your decoy.  For more information watch this review: https://youtu.be/5Vjtg57_fGs

We have yet to meet a decoy that does not mount to the 360 stake set up (including full mounts)

Yes.  The STRUTT’N 360 is made water tight.

This is done by placing the nipple of the remote into the receiver on the base with the letter ‘S’.  After the small green light flashes on the base, you will then need to hit one of the arrow buttons on the remote.  The light on the base will flash again confirming it is ready for use.

While you are hunting, the STRUTT’N 360 goes into a sleep mode when not operated for more than two hours.  To keep the STRUTT’N 360 on, make sure to push a button on the STRUTT’N Transmitter within the 2 hour timeframe. This conserves battery life during your hunt & will cover you when you forget to turn the it off at the end of a hunt.

The STRUTT’N 360 motion base takes six (6) AA batteries.  The remote transmitter takes one (1) CR2032 battery.

CAUTION: When changing the battery in the remote transmitter, be careful not to lose the magnet in the nipple end of the remote.  The magnet is responsible for turning the STRUTT’N 360 on and off.

The average hunter should experience battery life that exceeds one complete season and then some.

Note: It is highly recommended that you remove the batteries from the 360 at the end of your hunting season.  Commercial batteries have been known to prematurely expire and corrode which will have detrimental effects on the 360.  Battery failure corrosion is not covered under the warranty.

The STRUTT’N 360 electronics package has been designed to maximize battery life as referenced above.

The STRUTT’N 360 electronics package has been designed with an L.E.D. light which flashed green under normal operating conditions.  As the batteries begin to fade and lose power, the flashing green light will slowly turn from Green to Red; the closer to Red you get, the closer the battery is to being completely dead.  It is recommended that you always have a spare set of batteries available.

The remote has a single CR2032 style battery that needs replaced from time to time, generally every 2 to 3 years. To replace it, simply remove the two screws on the back of the remote and VERY CAREFULLY open the remote.  CAUTION: There is a small magnet in the nipple end of the remote that can fall out when taking it apart.  That magnet is responsible for turning the STRUTT’N 360 on, so if you lose it, the unit will not turn on. Generally you can use a refrigerator magnet to turn the STRUTT’N 360 on if that magnet is lost, or purchase a replacement in our shop.
