The mating hen is an integral part of Richard’s favorite decoy setup the “Love Triangle”. Turkey’s can’t help but attack this decoy setup, and has been the main stay of his 12 Grand Slams.

Place the Mating Hen underneath a gobbler decoy on a STRUTT’N 360 to create the ultimate insult to an approaching gobbler. Turn the STRUTT’N 360 to get the tom’s attention and then turn it back to simulate it preparing to mate. It dives them NUTS! If you aren’t using a STRUTT’N 360, she includes a small stake hole in her lower back, allowing a gobbler decoy to be placed on top of her. She is designed to be paired with the Mating Motion Jake but she can be used with any Dave Smith Decoys other gobbler decoys.

Like all Dave Smith turkey decoys, she is made out of their legendary A.C.E. Technology which means that she is built to take a beating. There is no inflation required, so her rugged body will always hold it’s natural shape. She can even withstand an accidental shotgun blast or broadhead through the body with only minimal damage.
